Support Protections for Ukrainian Families

Across the United States, families displaced by war in Ukraine are finding safety—and making a difference.

Through the Uniting for Ukraine (U4U) program, they arrived legally and in good faith. Today, they are living and working in communities nationwide—filling essential jobs in healthcare, manufacturing, education, and more. They are our neighbors, coworkers, classmates, and friends.

But now, their future is uncertain.

While the government has resumed limited processing of U4U applications following a court order, many Ukrainians remain in limbo. Thousands are at risk of losing legal status and work authorization. Without action, families welcomed in good faith may face detention or deportation— be forced to leave without the option to return safely home.

At CATCH, we believe strong communities—rural, suburban, and urban—are built on hope, compassion, and shared responsibility. We’re calling on leaders to keep the promise made through U4U.

Let them stay.

We invite individuals and organizations across the country to stand with us. Your signature and support help advocate for policies that protect U4U families and prepare communities to welcome them.

I am from Ukraine and came to North Dakota under U4U. Waking up every day and checking news to see if I am getting deported this month has not been the most fun activity for me. I hope all our people can feel safe and welcomed in a beautiful state of North Dakota, where Ukrainians can be legally permitted to live, work, and continue building their future.  Grand Forks, ND

This country was founded by immigrants wanting to create more opportunities for themselves and their families. That is what has made this country great. We should never forget that fact.  Rugby, ND

Ukrainian refugees have endured unimaginable loss and upheaval. They deserve stability, safety and support, not further uncertainty. We cannot turn our backs now.  Fargo, ND

Ukrainians desperately need the US government to grant them guest status in the United States until it is safe to return to their country. 240,000 people are facing the threat of being deported, losing their ability to work and remain in this country. We need Congress to act and support all the sponsors and the employers of these folks who are here legally relying on a government program to provide them safety and a right to work, supported by private US citizens.  Bismarck, ND

Humanitarian Parolees are here legally. We are not asking anything more than what we were told. We were told two years parole plus two years re-parole. That is what we are asking. Is that too much?  Brevard, NC

Bottineau has been so fortunate to receive our Ukrainian families. They have added so much to our community. I have enjoyed teaching them English. They have a great work ethic and are so appreciative of all the support they have received.  Bottineau, ND

My husband works with Ukrainians at ComDel, Inc. Ge says they are hard workers and very good people. We need them!  Wahpeton, ND

Our word should be worth something. We promised to care for these people so we shouldn’t renege on that promise.  Houston TX
